Join Hope for Teens as they present the details of North Carolina’s SB 49 which was enacted in August 2023. Hope for Teens will detail the ways this bill and its restrictions impact teachers and all students, especially LGBTQ+ youth, and will discuss ways to support your students while navigating this bill.
This event is open to all community members! We especially invite teachers, administration, after school staff, parents, and anyone who works in a school environment to attend.
The event is located in McKinnon Hall located inside the Moseley Center of Elon University, at 100 Campus Drive. Please park in the Koury Athletic/Performing Arts lot, Oaks parking lot, or the Admissions lot.

Hope for Teens is an anti-bullying organization dedicated to the advocacy and support of LGBTQ+ youth. This event is sponsored by Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) at Elon University, Elon Gender and LGBTQIA+ Center, and Transcend Alamance, an Alamance County non-profit dedicated to supporting LGBTQ youth and Trans folks in Alamance County.
